Kenneth L. Sanford Leading the Sector One management team is company founder, Kenneth L. Sanford, a retired U.S. Marine Corps logistics manager with over twenty years of military experience and accumulated knowledge. During his distinguished career, Ken earned numerous citations, awards and commendations for outstanding performance in the area of logistics and combat operations. At the on set of 1990 Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Ken Sanford planned, organized and implemented the mobilization of the first US Marine Corps units into Saudi Arabia for combat operations. With respect to middle-east security projects connected with US military operations, Kenneth brings seventeen years of familiarity with Iraqi culture, host nation law, and an understanding present day socio-economic concerns. Ken Sanford formed Sector One Security in the fall of 2006 after leaving DynCorp as a Senior Technical Recruiter. In this capacity he managed DynCorps $2 billion share of the State Department Worldwide Personal Protective Services (WPPS) contract in Iraq and Afghanistan. The WPPS program is an effort by the Bureau of Diplomatic Security, High Threat Protection Division (HTP) to deploy civilian contractor-provided security details to protect US government officials and high level dignitaries of foreign governments. Ken's role was to plan and organize nationwide recruiting campaigns, interface one-on-one with prospective candidates for employment, coordinate pre-deployment training schedules, and assist in mobilizing personnel into theater. Ken placed over five hundred civilian security personnel into Iraq and Afghanistan in support of the WPPS program. Like other key members of the Sector One corporate team, all essential staff have performed on recent US government sponsored middle-east security missions. This relevant in-theater experience contributes significantly to our ability to successfully accomplish of our business objectives.

John F. Phillips Former, US Deputy Undersecretary of Defense Major General John F. Phillips (retired), former U.S. Deputy Undersecretary of Defense (Acquisition, Technology and Logistics) has joined the Sector One management team in a Senior Advisor capacity. General Phillips is fully committed to the successful management of our contracting efforts. As Deputy Undersecretary of Defense, John was the principle advisor to the US Secretary of Defense in matters pertaining to acquisition and the integration of protection technologies acquired from the private sector. John Phillips managed an organization of 850,000 military and civilian personnel with a budget of $114 billion. In this role he established a major precedent by implementing outsourcing and privatization programs for the Federal government. He also served as Vice President of Government Services for Honeywell, where he oversaw major Federal-sector projects. He was personally responsible for capturing a $1.7 billion satellite network control contract, the largest single aftermarket contract award in the company's history. He left Honeywell to focus on his own company, Government Solutions Group. He partnered with Home Depot Inc. through GSG and launched Home Depot into Federal contracting generating over $100 million in the first 12 months of operations. Gen. Phillips also founded Phillips Defense Consultants, which addresses the needs of the defense industry with solutions ranging from IT to supply chain management, acquisition, and Network Centric Warfare. Gen. Phillips served for more than 27 years in the United States Air Force. A fighter pilot with over 3,000 flying hours, 300 of those in combat, he was Commander, McClellan AFB, California. Gen. Phillips holds a B.S. degree in biology and chemistry from Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, Texas, and an M.S. degree in Logistics Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology.
